Good morning and welcome! It’s another happy Tuesday which means we get to chat with another fabulous #bookstagram account!
You may know her from her incredible book hauls, or her adorable cats, or her contagious smile. And if you don’t know her, well, now you do! Her name is Janelle, and she is the mother of cats. Which, really, if you think about it, is harder than dragons because cats think they rule the world. Try and get THEM to listen to you. You’d have better luck with the dragons, I think.
Right, focus.
You can find her, and her cats, over on the Insta-to-the-gram @shereadswithcats.
Hello, gorgeous!
Janelle is also another bookstagrammer my faithful dealer, Tracy, introduced me to. She reads such a wide variety of books that almost anyone can find solid recommendations on her account. Plus! She reads so fast guys! I mean, seriously. It’s impressive! But her reviews are detailed, and she’s honest, so I find her account to be a fantastic resource for upcoming books.
She’s also one of the co-hosts for the monthly Instagram book club @blackheartreads!
I love their monthly choices and ALL THE MATCHING THINGS!!! So go pop over to their page and check them out!
Alright, it’s time. Make sure you have your cup of tea, and if you don’t have a cat, just grab the nearest cuddly animal or blanket.
When did you start your Bookstagram account?
May 2017 (ooo it was just my anniversary!!!)
Why do you bookstagram?
My sister-in-law gifted me a 3-month Book of the Month membership, so I started following them on Instagram. I read my selection, Marlena by Julie Buntin, and fell in love with it, so I had to take a picture. It just took off from there. I kept going with it because I discovered this amazing world of books and people who love them as much as I do! Then you get to know all these wonderful bookish friends, authors, and publishers… it’s just incredible!
