Greetings and salutations my lovelies!!! Is anyone else melting from the not-so-fun in the sun HEATWAVE rolling through most states??? If ever we needed an ice curse, I believe it is now!!! Just kidding, those never really seem to work out for anyone. Except the villains. Which is a topic for another day!
Today is Tuesday, which means we break out the trumpets so we can announce yet another fabulous and amazing bookstagram account!!! This lady is so fabulous, it even says so in her handle! You can’t argue with that. Plus she’s British and lovely and has her regal look NAILED!!!

I met Catriona through an Instagram group where we joined forces to fight evil, er, I mean, the Instagram algorithm. Which, let’s be frank, is often times evil at it’s purest. Since then, we’ve actually met IN PERSON!!!

She always makes her way to a bookstore no matter what town she finds herself in, and takes the most lovely photos of her views. I travel vicariously through her feed.
Outside of Bookstagram, she also has a YouTube channel! Obviously she chats about books, otherwise known as, BookTube. But, in addition to books, she posts videos about movies and plays bookish games, and really, I could listen to her lovely accent all day long.

When did you start your Bookstagram account?
I first posted a picture on 11th June 2016, so just over 2 years!
Why do you bookstagram?
To show off all the lovely books. That’s why I started anyway, but now I love the interaction I get with fellow book lovers like yourself!

I mean I love so many author accounts but are they still bookstagram? I love @LindseyKelk insta stories, they get me through!

Theme or no theme?
I don’t think I have a theme. I like accounts that do and also ones that don’t. I did notice that now it’s summer, my account looks a lot brighter than it did in winter so maybe it’s seasonal?

Why is it your favorite?
I love the one I did with the playing cards because it looks like I picture the playing cards in the book when I read it.
What do you do when you’re not on the Internet?
Read, shop, go to the library and read, sit in startbucks and read. I’m a teacher but I’m not working right now so I’m using this forced time off to read as much as possible because I know I might not get this time again. I’m also enjoying being able to travel outside of the school holidays!
Tell me some of your hobbies?
I really love watching movies as well as reading. Travelling is a hobby I would say because we are trying to tick off all 50 states on the map we have on our wall, because again, we’ve been given this opportunity so why not run with it?
Do you have a favorite place to read?
The bath! I’m about to go and read in the bath with a favourite lush bath bomb right now! I hate when we stay somewhere and it doesn’t have a bath. I also love reading in the library and in Starbucks because, coffee! But also they have great reading chairs. I miss having a chair to read in, we don’t really have room for a chair as well as a sofa.
What about a favorite genre?
I’m branching out a little more now that I actually have the time to read more but my heart will always belong to a good rom-com. Whether thats adult or YA a rom-com is my go-to comfort read. But you can see from my account that I’m partial to non-fiction, poetry, thrillers. Anything really except fantasy, I just can’t make my brain think outside the real world!

When did you start blogging?
I started writing for someone else’s blog in 2011. I wrote reviews and posts for them for a year and then made the leap to start my own blog exactly a year later in March 2012.

I loved the post that I wrote about my journey through reading the I Heart Books by Lindsey Kelk because it was really personal but also really fun to write all my memories as I re-read the series!
